Hawker Typhoon
It first saw action in September 1941.The Typhoon was originally designed as an air interceptor fighter, but due to its thick wings it was apparent that it was better suited for ground attack. The Typhoon was then decked out with bombs and rockets. It had a strong support role in the attack at Normandy.
